2. Collection of Data


Engagement with Fox & Furb may be via various channels, including our website, visiting a trade fair, speaking to us directly and using social media. The personal data we collect, and process can be categorised as follows:

2.1 Your personal details, such as your name, e-mail address, physical address (if provided), phone numbers (including mobile if provided), IP address, in some cases geo location and language.

2.2 Information about our products and services you have ordered or enquired about.

2.3 Your enquiry and purchase information, such as your personal details as specified above, order information, such as product range name and finish, design and product content, details of appointments and site visits if necessary, details of order processing information, drawings and quote information, manufacture and delivery details including your delivery address (if different), your payment information, such as debit card or similar payment information.

2.4 Requests for customer support containing your personal and order details as specified above.

2.5 Information provided by telephone or other means maybe monitored, recorded and stored. This may include notes from our conversations with you, such as details of information provided, comments you make, feedback on your experience and details of any complaints.

2.6 Information provided when you interact with us directly or indirectly on social media or by subscribing to our marketing campaigns (you can opt out at any time by emailing us.).

2.7 Your information collected via use of cookies and similar technologies like pixels, tags and other identifiers to remember your preferences, to understand how our websites and apps are used and to customise our marketing offerings.

2.8 If you visit our workshop address, or a trade show, our premises have CCTV systems in operation for the security of customers and products. These systems may record your image during your visit.

3. Storing of Data


One way for us to achieve the best possible service is by creating the best picture we can of who you are by combining the data we have about you. The data privacy law allows this as part of our legitimate interest in understanding our customer to provide you with the highest levels of service.

We use the information we collect about you to ensure we provide you with the best services and most appropriate products and recommendations and to fulfil our contractual obligations when processing an order or service by;

3.1 Processing your product and service requests, including and not limited to any requests to contact you with any requested restock dates, new product launches, marketing emails or blog updates you have subscribed to.

3.2 To process your purchase orders, complete supply chain purchases, ensure manufacture, organise delivery or collection (if applicable) of purchased products and to handle possible replacement items, repairs and returns.

3.3 To provide you with exceptional customer service, handle all requests or complaints and provide you with product support.

3.4 With your consent, we will use your personal data, preferences and details of your purchases to keep you informed by email, post and telephone through our sales support or customer services about relevant products and services including news, events, promotions and similar marketing content, which you can opt out of at any time.

3.5 To develop and improve processes and systems, as well as the services and products we provide to you.

4. Where we store your data


We may transfer your collected data to storage outside the European Economic Area (EEA). It may be processed outside the EEA to fulfil your order and deal with payment.

4.1 By giving us your personal data, you agree to this arrangement. We will do what we reasonably can to keep your data secure.

4.2 Payment will be encrypted. If we give you a password, you must keep it confidential. Please don’t share it. Although we try to provide protection, we cannot guarantee complete security for your data, and you take the risk should any sending of that data turn out to not be secure, despite our efforts.

5. Data Sharing for limited occasions


We do not share your personal data with any third parties except in the very limited occasions stated in this Privacy Policy. We may disclose your personal data to:

5.1 Third parties when required by law, court order or a decision made by a competent public authority for the purposes of law enforcement.

5.2 Trusted third parties carrying out services on our behalf such sales, marketing, IT support, advertising, analytics, research, customer service, product service support, shipping and purchase order fulfilment, data storage, validation, security, fraud prevention, payment processing, and legal services. Such third-party vendors have access to perform these services but are prohibited from using your personal data for other purposes.

5.2a One of the third parties we offer on our website is Klarna as a payment provider of our checkout. This means that we might transfer your personal data in the form of contact and order details to Klarna, when the checkout is loaded, in order for Klarna to manage your purchase if you choose this payment option. Your personal data transferred is processed alongside our privacy policies and in line with Klarna’s own privacy notice.

5.3 Third parties to establish, exercise or defend legal rights of Fox & Furb.

5.4 We may, from time to time, expand, reduce or sell the Fox & Furb Business and this may involve the transfer of divisions or the whole business to new owners. If this happens, your personal data will, where relevant, be transferred to the new owner or controlling party, under the terms of this Privacy policy.

5.5 Other third parties subject to your consent.

5.6 When we disclose your personal data to a third party, we take all reasonable steps to ensure that those third parties are bound by confidentiality and privacy obligations with respect to the protection of your personal data. At the end of the retention period, your data will be anonymised, suppressed or securely deleted, unless such data legitimately can be kept and processed for other processing purposes, which we have legal basis for. You can opt out of data storing for some/all marketing purposes at any time.
