Meet the Makers
Who are we?
We are Hayley and Martin, a husband and wife team who are passionate about creating bold, unique products and bringing well-loved furniture back to life.
When did you launch Fox & Furb?
There hasn’t been an official launch date, however, this passion project turned into an official business during lockdown. We are really enjoying introducing everybody to the Foldstool® concept and have been working on designing a brand new furniture range. This year we are enjoying growing the business after Hayley was selected for the second series of Make it at Market on BBC 1.

Have you both always been creative?
100%! We both love working with people, solving problems and creating bold and innovative ideas.
I used to be a prosthetic make-up artist in the media industry, working with a variety of other creative professionals. I've studied product design modules with The OU as well as completing my Stage 1 & 2 Upholstery Diploma with the AMUSF. If there is a craft out there I haven't tried, I am always keen to give it a go.
Martin runs his own trade business alongside working together on rebuilding our family home. He always wanted to study architecture and product design and is enjoying exploring his designing passion, using his practical skills and knowledge working on our new furniture range.
What do you do outside of work?
When not busy in the workshop, you’ll find us seeking out new adventures with our two children, getting out in nature with our Whippet Flash, working on the house build or enjoying games or movies at home with the kids.

It's simple, we love making really cool products.
All our handcrafted furniture and refurbishment work happens in our cosy little workshop in Hampshire.
Our new furniture frames are designed by us and made by hand, using thoughtfully sourced materials, no shop bought frames here!
Our metalwork is handcrafted by our local blacksmith making each piece of furniture we make, a unique, handmade order.
Our luxury upholstered furniture is available in a variety of stylish handpicked fabrics, or can be made totally unique for you, if you have a special fabric in mind.
